• Invitations now travel as a single invite link. The invitation email points at app.zaras.ai/invite/…, and opening that link on a phone or tablet takes you straight into the Zaras app, where you can see who invited you and join the workspace without retyping anything (once the app is in the stores); on a handheld the web app points you there rather than at the desktop screens, and a link your mail app cut short now lands you on sign-up instead of a “not found” page, whether or not you have the app installed.
• Simpler default roles: a new workspace now starts with owner, admin and technician. The dispatcher role is no longer created for you — it differed from technician by two permissions, which made the two hard to tell apart while setting up a team. Existing workspaces are unchanged — a workspace that already has a dispatcher role keeps it — and in a new workspace a dispatcher is a custom role with exactly the capabilities you pick. • Navigation was regrouped: on the web the sidebar's first section is now Work, Messages starts with Team Chat, and Personal holds My Tasks and Assistant; the Zaras app's More screen follows the same Personal, Messages and Time & Team groups. Data Import now shows for anyone who can change either business or financial settings (#631).
• The Assistant's answers show bold text and lists on the web and in the app, and saying hello gets a greeting back rather than a list of topics (#630).
• A workspace with one member now works on its own: team screens step aside, Team Chat reads Notes, your hours are approved as they are recorded, and new visits are assigned to you. Sending your first invitation brings every team tool back (#628). See Working on your own.
• New help articles: Your first job, start to finish and Install the Zaras app and sign in.
• The Zaras Assistant arrived: press ? on the web app (or open it from the sidebar) to ask about your jobs, estimates, invoices, contacts and calendar, with links straight to the records it read; it has its own full page at Assistant, and the Zaras app has an Assistant tab.
• The "update available" banner in the Zaras app is now a snooze: dismissing it hides it for a while instead of for good, and an update never interrupts an upload in progress (#624).
• A round of layout and behaviour fixes brought the Zaras app's screens in line with the web app (#623).
• Onboarding was rebuilt, attachments can be shared from a record and cope with slow uploads, signing out clears the app properly, and long text fields (notes, instructions, descriptions) grow to fit what you type (#622).
• Record colour is now set from the calendar rather than the create forms, the contact counters open a drilldown, the SMS inbox shows a clearer "not available yet" screen while two-way SMS is in pilot, and on Android the app keeps clear of the phone's own bottom controls (#620).
