Continue an import that stopped

An import keeps your place, whatever stopped it. What it already added stays in Zaras, and continuing the same import never adds a record twice.

Your connection dropped

While you're offline the page reads You're offline. Import will continue when you reconnect. When you're back it reads Back online. Continuing import… and carries on by itself.

You closed the page

The import runs in the open page. If you close it, or your phone or tablet locks and the page stops, the import waits for you.

  1. On Home, the row reads Continue your import or Import paused; press Continue import. In Settings → Data import, Continue import takes the place of Import data.
  2. Add the same original files again. Zaras keeps your file list and choices, not the files themselves. A missing file reads Choose this file again, and pasted cells read Paste these rows again.
  3. Press Read files, then the Import button.

Another file reads This file differs from the original. Choose the original to continue. When several imports are unfinished, Finish an import lists them: continue one, or press Discard draft on one that hasn't added anything.

The import paused partway

Import paused shows how much is added and how much remains. Press Continue import to add the rest.

Stop an import

To keep what's added and stop, press Stop import, then Stop import in Stop this import?. The result reads Import stopped, and a stopped import can't be continued. If nothing was added, it reads No data added. The data a stopped import added can still be removed as a group.

To drop an unfinished first import, open it with Choose how to start on the Home row Bring in your existing data, press Start over, then Start over in Start this import over?. Your original files stay unchanged.

Who can do this

Continuing needs the same permissions as the import, such as Manage jobs for jobs. Others ask an owner or admin under Settings → Team & roles → Roles.
