What do timesheet and task statuses mean?

WebZaras app1 min readUpdated October 18, 2026

A timesheet entry's status says whether its hours count. A task's place says when you plan to do it.

Why does my timesheet entry say…

  • Pending (Needs review in the approval queue): a draft waiting for an approver, usually made when a visit completes.
  • Approved: accepted, and counted in labor cost.
  • Denied: turned down with a reason, and never counted. An approver can reopen it for you to resubmit.

To flip an approved entry to denied in the app, an approver reopens it first. The web row offers both. See Approve a timesheet entry.

Why does my task say…

  • Today, Upcoming or Later: the bucket you put an open task in. A due date doesn't move it.
  • Overdue: its due date has passed and it is still open.
  • Snoozed: hidden until the time you picked.
  • Completed: ticked off.

See Set a due date on a task.

Who can do this

Approving needs Approve timesheets: owners, admins and office by default. Every role has My Tasks.
