Why was a row skipped in my import?
A row is left out when it repeats something you have, or lacks what Zaras needs. The review says how many rows are left out before anything is added.
On the web
On Review your data, each row under Data to add counts what won't be added, such as 3 not included. Press Preview to see the records. A file that can't be read is listed under Fix these before importing: replace it, or press Leave out.
Price book items already in your price book are skipped. Contacts that match ones you have are reused, not added again: see Will an import duplicate my contacts?.
In the Zaras app
The CSV import's preview marks each row OK, Duplicate or Skipped, and names the reason:
- Already in your contacts (same email or phone) or Already in your price book (same name): a duplicate, skipped so nothing doubles up.
- No first name, last name, company, email or phone — can't tell who this is, or Missing a name: nothing identifies the row.
- An empty or non-numeric price, or an unknown item type, names the exact problem.
Every contact needs at least one of: first name, last name, company, email or phone. Every item needs a name and a unit price. Everything else is optional.
To bring a duplicate in anyway, turn on Import anyway on its row.
Sending the same file twice reports Already imported — no new rows were added. In a very large workspace, the preview says duplicates were checked against your first contacts only.
A category named in the file must already exist. Otherwise the item lands without one, so create the category first.
Who can do this
Whoever can run the import. In the Zaras app, contacts need Manage business settings and price book items Manage financial settings.
